2017 Nevada Public Health Annual Conference
The statewide NPHA annual conference provides an opportunity for Nevada's public health professionals to gather together to discuss relevant public health issues, as well as a chance to network, meet, and stay connected with other professionals in Nevada. Continuing education credits are also available for several public health disciplines. The location of the NPHA annual conference alternates yearly between northern and southern Nevada, providing greater accessibility to participants.
The landscape of public health policy appears to be shifting with the new political climate. Potential changes to the Affordable Care Act, the Prevention and Public Health Fund, climate change policy, and new legislation in Nevada will have an impact on many of our public health programs. The annual NPHA conference provides a great opportunity to examine this changing policy landscape and promote discussion about improving public health outcomes in Nevada.
Who Should Attend
Health care providers, clinicians, educators, epidemiologists and other researchers, administrators and program staff, and students representing all sectors of the public health system, including government, academia, non-profit organizations, and private business.
