Position: COVID-19 POST Logistics

Student Worker or Temporary Hourly Position

$15/hour, ~ 15 hours per week

5 positions

Definition: Under immediate supervision performs traffic control, setup and teardown of COVID-19 POST, restocking of supplies, screens and admits clients for testing, acts as a liaison between COVID-19 POST and call center. Employee will serve within the Nevada Public Health Training Center in support of Washoe County COVID-19 control efforts.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED and six months of full-time logistical or general clerical experience. Public health-related experience preferred. Health-related majors preferred.

Bilingual skills desirable.

Hours: variable, Mornings 7am – 11am

Position: Outreach and Health Education

Agency: Nevada Institute for Children’s Research and Policy School of Public Health, UNLV


Schedule: Temporary - Full- Time (39 hrs a week) Immediately – September 29, 2021*


Description: NICRP seeks to hire a health educator who will support outreach and education in southern Nevada for the Nevada Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program to educate stakeholders by conducting workshops, supporting social media campaigns, and preparing factsheets. The health educator will create and foster partnerships with the healthcare community, lead-workforce, and community members to increase awareness about lead poisoning, screening children, and program services.


This position would be temporary, and work hours are between 8 AM and 5 PM for 39 hours a week, Monday –Friday, with the flexibility to work nights and weekends to accommodate outreach events. Some in-state travel may also be required.
